One Week To Go

All in fun. This was a picture taken of us at the Pearson Airport in Toronto for our 2010 trip, and we were going over what do to with everyone while we had a layover.

Make sure you have everything you need (bare essentials); good shoes; clothing that you can layer; batteries for your camera; chargers; SD cards; money in money belt; bank card; shirt(white), pants (black).

Most important item - Your PASSPORT!!!!!! I have a copy, not a bad idea for you to have one too! Scan it into an e-mail that you can easily access!?!

Right Around the Corner

It won't be long now! Although our 1st day of Spring was not very nice, we can look forward to great things as we travel through Italy, France, and Belgium - not to forget a day in Switzerland.

Hopefully Air Canada will have their issues straightened out. Truthfully, just get us there!

As I learned from our last trip, it will not take long for us to become a popular group of people. Thompson people have a way of adapting to whatever comes up - good or bad. I expect nothing less from our group this year.

New sights for almost all of us, a few that some of us have seen before, and great adventures and stories to follow.

For the parents, it will be nice to see your child at places that you yourself have longed to be at. Tourist locations will be fantastic and meeting new people will be even better. A trip of a lifetime. It will give some of them the travel bug, so be ready!

The Final Countdown

In less than a month we will be on our way. By now all finances should be taken care of; luggage, clothing sorted out; passport and how you will carry it done.

Please put the Legion patch on ASAP - instruction were given to you.

Please go over your soldiers and your Moro River cemetery plan.

We will soon be getting our other clothing (shirts) and umbrellas. Now is a good time to start checking the weather in Rome, Florence, Paris, just to give you an idea of what to expect.
Meetings are every Monday at 3:30 except for our last meeting on March 19th which will be at 7:00 in the Library. Parents and students - very important as we hand out flags, pins, crosses, information necessary for the trip, etc.
