I’m not sure
how to sum up how AWESOME this trip is in so few words, but I’ll try to the
best of my ability. So far, the most captivating part of our venture for me has
been the city of Rome, where history paves the streets and the buildings all
have an intricate tale to tell. With so much time stored in one place, it is
impossible to hear everything about each statue, painting and sculpture.
Undoubtedly the most impressive feature of Rome was the Vatican, which was an
entirely new world to explore on its own. I mean, the place is immense. More
time and effort went into constructing that building than there was put into
everything in our entire country. The architecture of not only the Vatican, but
almost every structure in Italy is captivating in its detail. Even the
occasional plain buildings, of which there are few in the country’s capitol,
are eye-catching in their simple walls and sharp edges. Second to the soaring
columns and arches of Rome, the country’s language is incredible as well. No
matter what you say or hear, if it is said in Italian, it sounds fantastic. It
feels almost as if the way that things are said here are more meaningful since
they are said so wonderfully. Hearing someone ask for the salt or say good
evening can make your day. In comparison, English is clunky.
Also the
Coliseum was awesome! And so was the Travi Fountain! And the people! And the
food! And the scenery! While I’m writing this we’re driving through a mountain
range!
I wanna live
here so bad!!!!!!!
